Journey and Wild Child

Both Journey and Wild Child are in full swing! Journey returned from Christmas break with a renewed energy to focus on community. They spent many evenings in the Lodge playing board games. They also completed their 21-day leadership backpacking and canoe trip. This trip is extremely formative, as well as an incredible accomplishment. Students lead each day, cook for themselves, and experience solo times. Since returning, they have been in a traditional classroom, learned how to ski and winter backpack, and completed multiple practicums. One of those practicums is Wild Child! This is our 6th year running Wild Child, and it continues to be an awesome program for the local community. Every year, we fill up with 48 3rd-6th graders running around in the woods, experiencing nature and learning outdoor skills. It's an exciting time of year around Bighorn!

Renew Ministry Workers Retreat

‍If you know a ministry worker (or are one yourself), let them know about our Renew Retreat! This week away (October 12-15, 2026) blends rest and silence with community and optional adventure. It's a "build-your-own" spiritual retreat to refresh and renew people in ministry. There are few places in nature as conducive to rest as Camp Bighorn!
