Summer 2025

Our theme this summer was "Celebrate the Story. This celebration of story was two-fold. First and foremost, it was about the story of the Gospel. Additionally, we were celebrating the story of Bighorn, as 2025 is our 40th birthday. For both campers (all ages!) and summer staff volunteers (ages 14-21), it was a summer of adventure and spiritual growth. We've included a few summer snapshots for you below!

Day Camp, for local kids K-4, had over 80 campers. Each day, they visited a Treehouse with a "Living Library" where they heard different stories of how God had worked in the lives of some of the Bighorn staff when they were kids!

We launched a new camp--Middle School Canoe Wilderness Trip. These campers camped and canoed in for multiple nights off-site. They cooked, navigated, and learned about God every day.

Bighorn has been hosting a specific family reunion for over 10 years. It is pretty cool to be apart of a family growing together over the years.

Multiple family camps joined us this summer--some new, some old! Adventuring together is a fantastic way to grow your family culture.

Multiple churches brought their youth groups for a week of summer camp at Bighorn. It is a joy to partner with youth groups and youth pastors to help develop their students to be more like Christ!

Finally, our ministry is not just to campers. It is also to our summer staff! These youth spend their summers serving in the kitchen, around the grounds, with campers, and leading adventures. As Bighorn staff, we disciple, train, and serve alongside them.
