Why I am here
I’m drawn to opportunities where I can step into adventures and learn with others. As a Journey student, I was able to learn; and as a summer lead, I stepped into leadership. Now, as Bighorn staff, I help facilitate that life change pattern in the next generations!
Background
Born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, Terah was lucky enough to live close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Consequently, hiking and fishing were very accessible and something her family would do often. She grew up developing a love of nature and adventure. Now, she loves everything outdoors but especially backpacking and rock climbing! Terah first came to Bighorn as a Journey student. During that year, she grew in her leadership abilities and her relationship with God. After Journey, she began a summer lead, which gave her a chance to use those leadership skills to disciple others. She also became a head TAC (a head guide) in both rock and water events. These experiences led her to apply for Bighorn staff, where she now continues to lead adventures and disciple others.
Program Specialist
Responsibilities
This Program Specialist provides leadership and oversight for Camp Bighorn’s rock climbing, adventure park, and Pro Shop operations, while supporting program events and summer staff development to ensure excellent, mission-aligned experiences for participants and staff.
Certifications
- Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA)
Fun Fact
When I asked my parents for a dog, I got two male goats instead.
