Why I am here
As Bighorn staff, I have the opportunity to lead others in the growth and life-change which I encountered as a Journey student and summer lead. It is exciting to follow God’s calling on my life to serve others as I was served.
Background
From Western Washington, Daniel spent his childhood exploring the mountains and forests of the Pacific Northwest. This passion for the outdoors continued as he grew up, eventually leading him to Camp Bighorn as a student in Journey. He never guessed this initial step would lead him to staff! During his time in Journey and as a summer lead, he gained a greater understanding of what he had to offer in serving others, especially in an adventure context. Now, he applies this learning to his role on staff. He loves any activities that get him outside; but if he had to choose his favorites, they would be whitewater kayaking and mountain biking.
Summer Assistant
Responsibilities
I assist the Summer Camp Director in providing a formative environment for the summer staff, as well as help plan and implement awesome experiences for all of our campers.

- CPR and First Aid (ECSI)
Fun Fact
When I was in middle school, I won a medieval archery contest.
